The LISD Technology Plan lays out a strategy for the effective use of technology in the district. In order for all students to experience a quality technology-infused education to maximize learning (Goal 1), all district personnel will be expected to possess technology competencies (Goal 2). To assist district employees in mastering these competencies specific plans are being implemented for the following groups of employees: Instructional Staff and Support Staff. Only competencies listed with an asterisk (*) require any seat-time in staff development courses. The knowledge required for the remaining competencies may be obtained anyway you wish. You may choose to learn from books, friends, staff development classes, trial and error, or any other way. The only requirement is that you learn the competencies and be able to demonstrate them by successfully completing short exams or performance tasks. If you have questions regarding this plan please check the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page and if your question is not addressed there please email Bill Landis.
